The full Site Maker database is here to reduce the hard drive
requirement, if desired.
You can edit the location where Site Maker looks for its content. This
is useful if you work in a large company and want to allow many users to
share the Site Maker off a central network, or you would prefer to
access Site Maker database off the HoTMetaL PRO CD.
To edit the path of the Site Maker database:
- Open Windows Explorer, and choose the location where the BDE is
installed (this is usually "Program Files\Borland\Common Files\BDE"
or "Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE")
- Double-click on BDECFG32.EXE. The BDE Configuration Utility appears.
- Click on the Aliases tab.
- Click on the text area in the Path option, and change the path name
to the path of your
CD drive, followed by \sitemaker. For example, D:\sitemaker.
- Restart HoTMetaL PRO.
Or, if you installed Site Maker database to a central network drive,
point to the installed location on the network.
Visit http://www.softquad.com for more information on configuring and
customizing the Site Maker database.
